Our Industry
There are many processing steps in the manufacture of semiconductor, MEMS and photovoltaic devices and not all devices work correctly and reliably at the end of the manufacturing process. Measurements are made and devices are inspected at many of the processing steps to check for processing problems or to confirm that the processing has been performed correctly.
The challenge is to identify and eliminate problems that affect yield and reliability at each processing step and to do this quickly in order to minimise wastage, improve manufacturing efficiency and maximise revenues.
Just collecting more and more data is not enough; only by being smart about generating, collecting and how the data is used can make a real difference to yield, reliability and manufacturing efficiency. Measurement and inspection data may contain a wealth of information about processing steps that can only be accessed using data analysis techniques, typically involving statistical methods. Flexible data analysis tools and having data well organised in a database are essential if all of the information contained in the measurement and inspection data is to be accessed.

Our Business
Waferdata Limited was founded in 2003. It is a privately owned limited liability company (04605073) that is registered in and operates from England.
We develop and distribute software products and offer consultancy and application services to improve yield, reliability and manufacturing efficiency in the semiconductor, MEMS and photovoltaic industries.
Our own data analysis product is Datavision. We are the European distributor for AOVtech's Advanced Spatial Signature Analysis product.
We offer diverse software and consultancy services related to semiconductor, MEMS and photovoltaic data.
